Elegant and simple, this one-of-a-kind Cheese Slicer features an set of hard wood stripes set between a large piece of cherry and a smaller piece of walnut.  3 options of stripe are available:  (A) Tiger Maple with Purple Heart, (B) Tiger Maple with Padauk, or (C) Tiger Maple with Yellow Heart.
 
No dyes or stains are used; these are the natural colors of the wood.  Silicone feet keep it stable on the countertop.  9"L x 6"W x 1"H
 
As with all of our kitchen and serving products, this Cheese Slicer has undergone a multi stage finishing process, including several steps of sanding, a dunk in a water bath (to raise the grain), an additional, superfine sanding (to knock the grain back down), and finally a food grade oil and wax finish.  Without the water bath/final sanding step the grain would rise the first time it was washed by you, giving the slicer a rough, or "furry", feel.  Taking these steps helps minimize that effect.
 
Note: Wood is naturally varied in its color and figure. Since this board is made to order, the item you will receive will be slightly different in these attributes. We will do our best to duplicate what is pictured, but an identical board in every respect is simply not possible.
